Take a Spin Contest nets Mini Cooper S for PoCo woman and $7917 for BC Cancer Foundation

Women’s intuition or just a lucky spin? Whichever it was, Betty Duff had just the right touch to spin and win the Grand Prize in the Craftsman Collision Take a Spin contest: a new, blue Mini Cooper S.

“I told (Craftsman Collision Port Moody shop manager Miguel Pires) I was going to win that car,” said Betty, who lives on Lancaster Street in Port Coquitlam. Her eligibility came after a lucky spin to enter the draw, plus a correctly answered skill-testing question.

With its double sunroof, power mirrors, heated seats, remote locking and Harmon Kardon sound system, the fully loaded Mini is a generation ahead of Betty’s current vehicle, a 1988 Toyota pickup. She is also the owner of a powerful Yamaha motorcycle.

Betty wasn’t the only big winner in the Craftsman Collision Take a Spin Contest. The BC Cancer Foundation’s Jennifer Harper received a cheque for $7917 in donations by Craftsman customers from Craftsman VP David Cant at the award ceremony May 25 at the Craftsman location at 6th and Yukon in Vancouver.

Hundreds of other participants walked away with instant prizes of AIR MILES reward miles and handy CD holders.
